AC Coupled Low DC Recovery

This feature is designed specifically for systems equipped with an AC coupled Selectronic Certified Solar Inverter.

In the occasion where you lose power due to low state-of-charge (SOC) in the batteries, the
AC Coupled Low DC Recovery feature utilises the AC Coupled Solar capacity to recover the
system, as long as the batteries haven’t gone completely flat.

To activate AC Coupled Low DC Recovery, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure sufficient sunlight is available to charge the batteries.
  2. Turn off all loads connected to the SP PRO. Failure to do so will cause the AC Coupled Low DC Recovery mode to exit within 5 seconds. Do NOT turn off the main switch or   circuit feeding your solar inverter.
  3. Perform a long press of the ON button twice. This action will switch the SP PRO into AC Coupled Low DC Recovery mode, powering up the AC Coupled inverters.
During this mode, the battery LEDs on the SP PRO's front panel will flash red.
If the AC Coupled solar does not commence charging the batteries within 10 minutes, the SP PRO will exit this mode automatically.

4.  Wait until the low DC shutdown condition is resolved. You will know the system has been                               successfully recovered when the battery LEDs will turn green and the SP PRO remains operational.

5. Turn your circuit breakers back on.

6. Turn on your loads cautiously. The battery has enough power to now run the loads, however, minimise        power consumption to prevent triggering another shutdown.

If AC Coupled Low DC Recovery mode is being used regularly then it may indicate an issue with the system and may lead to early battery failure. Consult your system designer for input.

These steps ensure effective utilisation of the AC Coupled Low DC Recovery feature in critical
energy management scenarios.
